Learning objectives
The starting point for studying biodiversity was initially to arouse students’ interest in exploring their environment and to think about which issues could be interesting learning objects in Finland and Slovenia.
In addition, the aim was also to strengthen social interactions both within the own school community and across country borders.
When schools, especially teachers, set out to build this type of project, they are bound by their own national curriculum and must also set project goals from that point of view.
The researchers in the working group were also asked for hints about phenomena that the children could study.
